Bequests to Reading Hospital Foundation
Reading Hospital owes its existence to the generosity of community members whose bequests and gifts have shaped the hospital and its students over the years. Many scholarships and significant contributions that support patient care today were made possible by these generous estate gifts.
Ways to Give
You can make a bequest to the Reading Hospital Foundation by designating a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate. You also have the flexibility to direct your bequest for general use by the hospital or restrict it for a particular purpose, depending on the gift's size and scope. Many donors choose to establish endowments in memory of a loved one. These endowments last in perpetuity because only the spendable income is distributed annually.
- Specific Bequests: These gifts involve a particular dollar amount or asset (such as securities, real estate, or personal property).
- Residuary Bequests: These are used to give all or a portion of what remains of your estate after paying expenses and other designated amounts to beneficiaries.
Before including a bequest or other deferred gift in your will with any restrictions, we encourage you to consult with the Reading Hospital Foundation at 484-628-5162.
